About Miss Leisa

Owner & founder of the Rise Up Dance Academy  â€‹

Miss Leisa’s love for dance and teaching began early—she started her very first ballet school at just 16 years old.
After moving to Melbourne, she refined her skills under the mentorship of renowned dance educator Ms Diane Parrington, through the CDTA (Children’s Dance Teaching Association). Inspired by this experience, Leisa went on to establish and grow four successful dance schools across Kew, Malvern, Glen Iris, and Elwood.

Following a short break during the COVID years, Leisa returned to what she loves most—teaching children. This led to the launch of Petite Performers by Miss Leisa in a beautiful Brighton studio.

In 2023, she took on the role of Musical Performance Director at St James Primary School, bringing her creative energy into the school community.

Today, Leisa runs a thriving Dance Academy across five Bayside primary schools & a dance studio on Saturdays, making quality dance education easy and accessible for families. With a passion for performance, a nurturing approach, and boundless energy, Miss Leisa is dedicated to helping every child shine, grow in confidence, and discover the joy of dance.
